paris, tennessee collection

Yeah, it happened. I basically started this thing and then ignored it for awhile.

Let's try again.

Update:

Currently out of school for the summer and lacking hours at work so I have lots of free time. So, I've been bombing hills and cruising on my longboard a lot, at least once a day for the past week. It's been good, I feel more confident than ever on my board and I've been hitting up some fairly steep hills in the Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights area. Maybe I should look into acquiring a topography map; it could be useful. I have some photos from the other day, but haven't had a chance to upload yet. I'd like to do a lot of skating photography this summer, actually... this sentence inspired an idea for my next post, whenever that will be. Photography goals for the summer. So yeah, supposedly more on that later.

One thing I did do, that I've been meaning to; I finally took the time to upload my final photos from class. I went on a couple of photo shoots over spring break, one of which was with my brother when I went to visit family in Paris, Tennessee. Many of the structures in the old town have multiple different layers and styles of texture to them. When mixed with the light from the setting sun, an interesting and sometimes mechanical aproach to angles, and the discovery of a lost girl, the photos in the set came back with a strange aura about them. They've been described as "a collection of lost postcards." I've been encouraged to consider mural printing a few of them, but we'll see what actually happens with that. Right now the actual prints are on 13x19s with a matte finish.

Here are a few from the collection:

Oh, and I'm excited to say the CrazuKnights are likely to be making a comeback this Chicagoland automotive enthusiast's season. Maybe about a month or so. Maybe sooner, maybe later. Regardless, vinyl/stickers are finally in the works/prototype stage, but I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. All I'm guaranteeing is; some damn proper FF HONDAs will be prevelant. MuhahaHahahHAHA. lol.

More Photos/Videos to come.

Peace, Love, Friends,
-Nico.
